A Sonic and Visual Experience
Production: Cécile Cros – Narrative and writing in collaboration with Antoine Couder, sound design in collaboration with Simon Cacheux, visuals Mystère Public, technical support Audiosoft, scenography Bixie.

The Mir space station, an emblem of Soviet space conquest, has been recreated in an immersive exhibition at the Cité de l’Espace in Toulouse. Open since April 12, 2025, it offers a glimpse into life aboard this iconic station, through the daily routines of Russian, European, and American astronauts. The exhibition recreates the atmosphere of the 1990s with a scenography that blends faithful replicas, archives, and period objects. Visitors can explore the Mir modules present in 1995 (Core Module, Kristall, and Kvant II). The experience is primarily built around the station's soundscape, with over 30 diffusion points spread throughout each module, broadcasting dialogues, ambient sounds, and historical archives.
